I commented above about a former friend who involved herself in men’s lives in a very similar way. She was 40 at the time.

It reminds me a LOT of a former friend that would obsess over taken men and spin some fantasy of being the other woman, when the men made no such advances (they were friendly). For her it seemed to have a lot to do with validation; she didn’t feel chosen by men often, so being the other woman was appealing to her ego.

I think that, unfortunately for some people, many are convinced that if they have the superficial (dream wedding, kids, job title, whatever) that life is automatic happiness. As if life is one big checklist.

Your last paragraph perfectly describes an acquaintance of mine. I’ve watched her linger on in miserable, and often one-sided, relationships until she was able to latch onto someone new.

Are we talking queso or spinart, because that makes you a whore. Guac? That makes you smart!

It could go either way. I need to read the books.

I took that to mean she gets pregnant by George and lies about the dates. Do you interpret it as Ross fathers another? ‘Cause damn, that’s crazy!

I love this show and I love this analysis even more! Just one more episode left to study those sex stares before I return to Outlander.

Agreed on Ozzie. Never expected that!

Crap, I accidentally took stars away from you!

“mom-trepreneur” makes me want to claw out my eyes. Or theirs.

And many mid century homes hid those kitchens behind pocket doors. I have a living and dining room that are open, but my eat kitchen is behind a wall.

I also do not understand how someone is supposed to be able to hear anything with all the pots clanging and water running in the kitchen. Ever try to watch tv in the living room while someone in the open concept kitchen does that shit?

Agreed, but on most mid century modern homes, kitchens are not open to the rest of the house. Thank God.

I don’t know if more terrible things are happening, or I watch too much tv, but I’m ready to put cameras EVERYWHERE.

Omg, I love that show. Talk about staying relevant.

I grew up with boys and I’ve never understood how they can remain long time friends with complete pieces of shit.

I had my own brush with a murderer that I posted here. The volume of creepy man stories says a LOT about society.

Oh, for sure. It would make sense as to why mom joined the creepfest, but doesn’t lessen the creep factor.
