I agree. It’s not legally his, but I hope that is possible.

He could, but it’s rightfully his and he may have his own heirs. The deceased likely didn’t leave those asshole nieces and nephews anything for a reason.
My guess is that he isn’t allowed back in the house with her (I didn’t read the original story), but I’d bet the family would let him sneak around. I hope there are teachers or friends/friend’s parents that this girl can reach out to.
Our libraries are the perfect opportunity to bring diverse members of the community together. What a shame she isn’t properly doing her job. I freaking love my library and the community services they provide.
No matter the actual statistics, so many people cling to this idea that it’s just minorities “stealing” all their money through social services. It’s coded racism. They have enough awareness to not come out and say it in most circumstances, but if you listen, that’s what they’re saying.
I always speak up and challenge this bullshit. This specific person is an acquaintance of my uncle that I run into maybe twice per year. He’s not my friend.
The current environment, the one that is giving Trump and David Duke a platform is like the ugly zit we have to pop. Maybe if we get it all out on the surface we can deal with it instead of covering it up and just hoping it goes away.
Which is incredibly likely.
I loved her show as a kid. Just shows how well she appeals to different audiences.
Nope. My gut tells me they knew, but I hope to God I’m wrong. Of course, this betrayal feels just as bad.
I’m so sorry. I wish I had better words, and that caring people like you and your family were able to easily have the family you deserve.
I’m so disillusioned that I wonder what it would take to actually remove her. How would they prove that? Unless the girl told authorities?
If that’s true, I hope it can be proven and she can get the love and support she needs.
Which brings on the additional dark thought; they knew and didn’t do anything to stop it.
That part is worse than his sentence.
I would hope, but I don’t think her mother’s plea for the father’s release is enough to warrant that legally.
At the least she still has to live with a mother that thinks her rapist is not such a bad guy and deserves forgiveness.
YES!! I’ve spent my whole life waiting to live out an episode of Scooby Doo!
Please yes. I love both shows and would love to see this. Too much to ask him to do it in character?
They ask like we really might not be sure!
