I can assure you, in most markets, Uber drivers do not make $19 an hour, it’s more like $8 (after Uber’s 25% cut, gas, repairs, insurance, and a 15% self-employment tax). Not to mention the fact that you have to drive your own car to death while doing it.

I can be as testy as the next guy, but I have learned to simply smile and wave when confronted by angry drivers. You absolutely do not know when someone will snap and pull a gun, etc.

I do the same thing, except I tell them what I’m willing to pay for the car. I do not waver and I’m willing to walk away. If they are unwilling to sell it at my price, I know that I am too low. This is the only way to get to the “bottom line” deal.

At what point did everyone think that they “need” to drive $30-50,000 cars despite their income? Probably at the same time that everyone thought they “need” a new iPhone every year (+10 GB of data every month), cable TV with 400 channels and all the other shit that add up to mortgage-like monthly payments.

It’s better to pull the plug now. Tesla actually builds and sells cars (well, some cars), and they lose millions of dollars every quarter, imagine what these how much these clowns would lose.
