Fair enough. I’m just generally very skeptical of most energy efficient improvements (new windows, insulation, hybrid cars) because they rarely net any real savings when their additional costs are considered.

I think it’s amazing that Swarovski has conned people into thinking that pieces of glass are as valuable as diamonds. They do make excellent binoculars and scopes, but gems, no.
I don’t understand your question but my point is that solar panels/roofs and batteries cost way more than a normal roof and it takes many years to recoup that money in the form of utilities savings. Most people will have moved out of the house before the break even.
I’m not a union supporter by any stretch but Uber is an abusive employer- yes, they employ people to drive and take a cut of the fares, no matter how much they deny it.
