Further proof that our culture is going to shit.

This all makes sense to me. I drive a VW GTI and I couldn’t imagine not having the convenience of a hatchback. I’ll never go back.
A conversation in 2017:
This is tragic. I bet more armed forces folks die in training and exhibitions than combat these days.
Why would you want to charge outside of your home?
Sorry. There is no way that the average American is going to drive 40 miles out of their way, then sit around waiting for a car to charge. It ain’t going to happen.
Well, “yoots” for Buick means under 55 85.
Glad to see that Florida is back in the news again. Houston has been gaining ground in the crazy sweepstakes.
Neutral: I’m with you. Without fast charging– like 10 minutes– electric cars will not be widely adapted. People are simply not going to sit around for 30 minutes (or imagine waiting in line behind someone!).
...because it’s a Buick.
Have you also noticed how many recumbent bicycle riders are middle-aged men with beards, glasses, short sleeve button-down dress shirts and pocket protectors?
I think if you factor in the premium price for the car (I think the Model 3 will cost $45-50k in the configuration that most buyers will want), the fee that Tesla will charge ($1500-2500?), and the ultimate mark-up that the charging station location owner will charge (this is my prediction) an ICE would be cheaper…
The price of gas is not determined by construction costs.
Supercharging would still be significantly less expensive than gasoline
The number of charging stations is only half of the problem. The 20 minute charging time is just as prohibitive. Imagine driving 40 miles out of your way to find a station, then finding 3 others waiting for a plug.
You don’t need a machine, just crawl through the air vents like they do in almost every heist movie.
You beat me to it. Volker, the director of this mess, would fit right in.
Just finished watching this POS. It really lacks wit and as others have said, Evans’ shouting is odd and annoying. The celebrity driving segment was very awkward. Fail.
Remember, this was a highly anticipated debut, so these ratings numbers are artificially high IMHO.
I used to drive to Indy from Ohio frequently for business and had a chance to mingle with many locals getting gas, eating at restaurants, etc. The number of idiots per capita is staggering. My workmates and I thought the state license plate slogan should be Indiana “The Stupid State.”
