There’s a yellow 16V 5spd TC in my driveway, one of the 501 with that drivetrain. My car was purchased to be harvested of that rare 16V engine, but like the last few owners I just don’t have the heart to do it to a running driving rust free car, so now I’m a TC owner.

Dog tracking is the term I’ve always heard for when cars drive like this. 70's Nova’s and their clones seemed to be the worst at it.

That’s a bold tailgate from a company that struggles to build a reliable tailgate handle/linkage.

One wheel burnouts in a fwd transmission = rips and tears when the diff pin goes through the case.

Motor Trend On Demand has Seasons 9-18 of Wheeler Dealers, plus Roadkill, Dirt Every Day, Engine Masters, Hot Rod Garage, Graveyard Carz and a ton more.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is the Ram Promaster. I rented one last year and was suprised at how I could have the window down at interstate speeds with almost no buffeting or other discomfort. Must be something with that half window design those vans have.

Neutral: My car buying priorities...

What gets me is that a new air dam is less than $100 from Mopar. If I had one of these cars I’d buy a new one throw it in the garage attic just in case and then go have fun, but I also don’t have a screen protector on my phone and I peeled the protective film off the clock on my VCR.

The machines I drive all do a better job than me at counting the number of pulses at the vehicle speed sensor, factoring gear ratios and tires size and providing a consistent value that shows miles driven and vehicle speed. This combined with calibrations of the float resistance from the fuel tank and calculated fuel

The worst I had was a 70 F100. I don’t have any pictures, but it was similar to this one, green, 2wd with a 302 v8. After getting it to start with a shot of ether down the carb and letting it warm up for 10min it would finally settle into a nice 2500 rpm idle. The rear brakes must not have been adjusted right because

The six speed is what you get in the 2500/3500 still.

About a 1/4 of the way into this page they have photos and more details on the eTorque system. It’s driven by an 8 rib belt in the Hemi.

Haha, that’s exactly what I pictured.

David, you should have researched this with Fancy Kristen. The real downside to the solid axle on the G-wagon is that axle tube gave peasants something to cling to, and no G-wagon owner wants to come home and accidentally drag a peasant beyond their gates.

Also if you’re stuck in the snow, try turning off traction control. It sounds counter-intuitive but you might need a little wheelspin to get some movement.

You’ll either get unstuck or you’ll have some cool pictures of the carnage the diff pin made as it exited the transaxle.

You can spec out a new Charger R/T that way, Go Mango exterior color, black/pearl leather interior and a black roof.

I like that more mfr’s are offering heated cloth seats now. For a while there it seemed like you had to get leather to get heated seats and I’m not a fan of leather (cold in the winter, hot in the summer, too much upkeep and it looks like crap after 10 years)

Having worked on car wash equipment I can’t imagine a pressure pump lasting more than a few hours if it was using water with any kind of debris in it. I haven’t worked at any that recycle the water, but for those that do they would have to have decent filtration equipment before the pumps, so I find the odds of debris

A family member of ours owns a couple car wash franchises here in IL. I help out with repairs and maintenance from time to time, and have spent a lot of time in the inner workings. These washes have both coin-op bays and a couple of touch-less automatic bays.
