I always figured the design was to take that big box full of lead and get down to a lower mounting point to reduce the center of gravity. You can get a battery in and out of one with the wheel turned fully one way, not a fun job but easier than doing one on a C4 Corvette or quite a few other cars.

That’s an AEV Brute, they’ve been selling them for a few years, just super pricey so you don’t see them often.

Very optimistic, even rusty original CJ8 Scramblers are hard to find at that price. (looked at one two weeks ago)

I like that first line item, “Cig lighter does not get fully up to temp”.

I still regret buying a traditional house instead of the old fire house that was for sale when I was house shopping.

Freightliner is owned by Daimler and I don’t think FCA would go that route again.

I hope that velcro is the fastener they stick with

I’ve got the stop part of the filming for my car show down to a science, it’s the motion part I need to figure out.

Tesla marketing took a look at other things their customer base buys and tried to integrate some of that into the design. I bet a high percentage of potential model 3 customers also have a blade-less Dyson fan in their home.

My 89 Caravan has a vent under the steering column also, but just a vent to outside fresh air, not connected to the HVAC. Still it’s pretty much the best thing ever, wish more vehicles had it.

I can agree on the cheap sway bar links. Rebuilding the font suspension on my 3/4 ton pickup and really stretched the budget on getting the best ball joints, tie-rod ends and replacing U-joints and wheel bearings etc. They make some neat upgraded links that cost a good bit, but since they are they easiest suspension

If you live where they salt the roads in winter I say stick with the cheap ones because they all turn to orange powder after a few winters.

Nice EF-350

Most tractors are that way. It gets fun when you need to replace a clutch and have to split the tractor in two.

I saw that too, looks like a car that had accident repair that wasn’t matched well or blended.

3rd Gear:

Most of these are stolen from the service bays. The dealers are good about controlling the keys for the new inventory and the thieves want cars with plates on them.

Handing the company over to Eaton who then struck the deal with Daimler was certainly not his best move. I wonder where it would be today if Lutz had taken over instead.

My office is about 200' from a Ford dealership, I’m disappointed to find out I can’t just walk over there for free ice cream at lunchtime.

I would like to give the phone number of Sirrius/XM to the extended warranty people and vice versa. I’m convinced that action would create a black hole or at least crash the phone networks.
