I didn’t offer to remove the headliner, Dad has been a bus mechanic for over 50 years and he’s certainly capable of removing it if he really needed it gone. I think my mom appreciates the extra sound deadening it offers on the rare occasions she rides in his work truck.

Even the work trucks have gone soft compared to 20 years ago. You can still get a rubber floor, but it probably has power windows, A/C and a stereo.

Having owned a car or two with broken gas gauges you get used to just watching how many miles you’ve driven and filling up say every 230 miles or so.
