This is a potential next vehicle for my wife. I’m hoping that in a few years the turbocharged Hurricane engine becomes an option. 300hp would be a lot more fun in a little CUV like this.

Close, but the car in that photo is a Buick Century, GM’s A-body competitor to the K-Car.
I agree, although I think conceited and vain has been MB’s target market for a while now.
I was the one that knew it didn’t come with a threaded bolt in the trunk and spent hours finding the threads size and pitch of what should be there, followed by more hours chasing to the only hardware store around with any stock of 18mm bolts, then welding link of chain to a washer for said bolt that would allow me to…
I’m sure the Alfa Romeo Guillietta has one, but was the Dart sold anywhere that required it?
On a 2013 Dodge Dart those little squares are present on the bumper but are as useful as tits on a bull because the bumper behind them contains no anchor point. This is a thing you find out when the car is beached in a snowdrift in your in-laws driveway. Just a solid aluminum bumper behind it, no hole, no threads,…
Kong is probably the only thing to leave that dealer’s lot in months.
I have disabled the alarm in my last 2 pickups, it gets annoying fast when you’re using the truck around the farm at low speeds and that stupid alarm is going off. On the road I always wear a seatbelt, but if I’m in a hay field loading up a few bales where I stop every 30 feet and get out the last thing I want to do…
One of my favorites involves an automotive paint store I worked at one summer in the 90's. They had a delivery driver, lets call him “Bud” because that was his name.
Chevy even made a W/T version in the 90's just for them.
It’s not a brake-check if you yell “squirrel” first.
It’s the new FCA 2.4 that was in the Dart, 200, Cherokee and Renegade.
I would like to know what the availability of a manual transmission is regarding engines and trim packages. I think 2.4 is the only engine right now, but would love to get one with a 2.0 or 2.4 turbo and manual trans in a higher trim package eventually.
Normally yeah, they are just somewhere in the middle, not anything I would worry about. But David has posted a few articles about his brother’s Caliber and it’s lack of preventive maintenance and If I remember correctly it broke down on last year’s trip (radiator or hose maybe?)
I wish i could give more stars for this.
Also, what dates are the event? I’ve been looking at a couple cars out near denver / colorado springs. If so I’d be doing the Chicago to Denver drive in a 3/4 ton pickup pulling an empty trailer.
“Support Car” = your brother’s Dodge Caliber? That’s not helping your odds any.
Since my name is also David I’ll answer: The Jeep pickup from the movie Twister is my favorite, followed closely by the Jeep pickup in the movie Tremors.
Heavy duty planetary gears in a 4spd?
