Good info. Don’t forget the increases in pedestrian safety standards in recent years as well. These have required more impact absorption area between the hood and engine and also contributed to higher belt lines.

a pair of 8'6" 2x10 ramps slide between the seats alongside the shifter just fine if you put them on edge. I didn’t drive it today to measure, but a 10' surfboard would probably fit if you didn’t mind using it as an arm rest. Or just use the roof rack..
Vol-Tron would be a better name
My grandparents had a light blue 81 Impala, 3.8l V6, vinyl bench seat, am radio and crank windows. It also had around 31k miles when we sold it (around 1995).
I’ve owned a couple Omni GLH’s in red with a red interior, but I never had a matching sweater or a disposable camera. I did, however rock the old Sony Mavica that took 3.5" floppies for way too long. I also own a comfortable zip up sweatshirt from Costco that my wife won’t let me wear out of the house (I do anyways)…
If you want to see the atlas in your Atlas you’ll have to spring for the navigation package.
If the town really wanted to prevent this riff-raf a few well placed speed bumps on the roads into and out of town would probably solve the issue.
Some handling terms explained for SUV/CUV owners:
I cringed when I read the part about swapping the main bearing cap. Luckily it locked the engine up and stopped you from running it that way, could have caused a spun bearing or worse if it was close enough to let the engine spin.

I think we’re witnessing the root cause of all these Mustangs crashing lately. The problem is invisible trailers with improper load balancing. I’ll give it to them because invisible loads are difficult to get properly balanced, let alone properly strapped down.
I ended up with a 2wd Lightning Blue F150 XL 5.0 V8 with 3.55 gears, tow package and sport package for $31,275. Perfect for weekend projects and towing a car trailer. That leaves me with enough for Focus ST to daily drive.
It was damp and overcast all day so roads were a bit slick. However, every supercar leaving the event managed to get down the road just fine. Even the 80's IROC Camaro that was parked next to this Mustang in the spectator lot left without issue.
I had an 83 Oldsmobile Delta 88 2 door with hand controls that I used for demo derby one summer. The controls were pull lever down for acceleration and push in for brakes. This meant you could do a one handed brake torque, which of course I tried while leaning into the car through the drivers window. It was fun at…

Your comment made me look again for a second throttle body TTB=twin throttle bodies?
I was 17 and it was an 87 Firebird with a 305 and a quadrajet. Had to really get up some speed and whip the steering wheel to get the rear end loose on that gutless wonder. Once it finally did I ended up backwards in the median...oops, learned my lesson there.
Yeah, this looks like my dream job.
