It was a mediocre show that tried to be important, which I think is why it got as much hate. As opposed to something like Ballers, which is mediocre and seems completely aware of this fact.

The show itself was fine when treated as entertainment, not expecting it to be some vanguard in the realm of progressive television. I don’t really care about ascribing morals to a fictional show with fictional characters. I’m only interested in being distracted by real world problems for a little while.
