That’s the truly amazing thing about Dave’s trans jokes. The fact that he’s a bigot doubling down on his hot take isn’t shocking at this point, but you’d think a professional comedian long lauded as one of the finest the industry has ever seen would have better material than an average YouTube comment.

And he got it wrong too. The premise of the joke is that the thing that is Thing A but identifies as Thing Bis not actually Thing Bat all and is really still Thing A. The weapon was a knife. It just was in the shape of a gun. So it should’ve been a knife that identifies as a gun. But transphobic fuckheads are too…

Completely changing the flow and structure of your television show to end it like movies so it feels more “cinematic”.

I love how Disney has just given up on making any more Star Wars movies. Probably the right call, given the reception of Rise of Skywalker (and the general creative bankruptcy of the sequels) but man, remember when they were handing out whole trilogies of movies left and right?

I loved Inside Out and also appreciated Soul, but like...while this sounds whimsical on paper, Pixar, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll translate to a good movie.

The “happy” ending of San Junipero is a bit overstated. I guess it invites more optimism than your average BM episode, but “Heaven is a Place on Earth” playing over our two leads(who have had 3 dates together) dancing and embracing, intercut with a robotic arm plugging their consciousness pods into a sterile terminal…
