While the characters are public domain, the last 6 Holmes stories aren’t. Conan Doyle’s Estate might’ve seen something in these games’ depiction of him that was too close to those stories and Capcom wasn’t willing to pay the licensing fee or risk releasing the game with his name anyway.

I’m not too knowledgeable about this, but to my understanding, most of the Holmes stories have entered public domain, but not all of them. There are some where the copyright expires this year, and the rest expire next year. There are also non-Holmes stories by Doyle that expire within the next few years. See here:…

The console launched in the west in 2012. The last retail 1st party game (Freedom Wars) released in 2014. When you consider development time, they must have internally made the decision to stop making Vita games sometime in the first, 12-18 months?

To second Zack’s point, I’ve recently been going through a lot of my old games and I’ve been finding that a lot of my hardware doesn’t work anymore. Sure, it’s probably just a matter of cleaning it or getting a part swapped or whatever, but the average person isn’t going to do that.

I just want to note that any mention of the Gambler job from BDII without mentioning the passive that adds a stackable 10% chance for rare drops from enemies is incomplete.

You mention the Wii U, but neglect to mention the Wii Remote tied to a Pro Controller? That’s a nice little development gag.

I liked my WiiU, too. It’s the console where I finally sat down and got over my intimidation of the Zelda series and became a true fan by playing a bunch of the remakes (and BoTW, since I didn’t have a Switch until a couple years in).

owning a Wii-U was great. Some of the best games ever were on it, and it played all of my Wii games, too.

Serenoa is a lord of a House in the kingdom that Roland resides. Roland is the prince of the kingdom that was taken by Aesfrost. That’s why Aesfrost wants Roland captured.  Otherwise, Aesfrost would be after Serenoa.

Why do you assume this was a compromise? They could have always had the end result in mind and knew what sound they wanted and how to achieve it. I am at a loss to your aggressive attacks here as you attempt to establish what is pure and correct upon everyone else.
