This is exactly why the NFL never should’ve started down this path in the first place. Their policy from day one should’ve been “Once the courts reach a decision, we’ll figure out what to do”. The NFL is objectively terrible at handling these things, even moreso than the justice system. Anything and everything they do…

i mean, the steelers missed the playoffs last year, and the chiefs lost a close game to the patriots in the afc champtionship. would having kareem hunt or lev bell had helped those teams accomplish more? i’d argue yes.

If the franchise tag is tied to position, maybe rookie contract length should be too.

The concept of American exceptionalism is literally getting people killed. The attitude is that even if other countries have figured it out, they’re not special like the U.S., and who would want to live anywhere else anyway?

I teach at a community college; have done for 30 years. Our active shooter protocol is to evacuate the building and run outside. I am directed to lead my class out, at the head of the group. I asked what I should do if the shooter is in the hall. The answer was to evacuate anyway; some will make it out.

I got to hear Marv Albert pronounce that name. It was epic.

Is there any other sport like American football where the fans and pundits feel like the players owe them something? And said fans/pundit industry feel they have a divine right to dictate behavioral standards to the players?
