I’m REALLY hoping that’s the case. The show not taking itself too seriously could be on the credit side. If it was a gritty, humorless reboot it would be a lot worse. However, if it does go too far in the other direction as Barsanti says and loses what made the anime cool, then it’ll be a disappointment. Regardless, I’

Don't worry, folks. There's a good chance Barsanti's take on this is just as wrong as his take on, well, everything.

On a happier note, (see what I did there)
These two costars from School of Rock got married.

Nope,  so many of these modern conpiracy theoris trace their roots back to blood libel and “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”

lizard people conspiracies...oh no, oh no. do any of these people not end up wildly anti-Semitic?

What exactly is pseudoscientific about giants battling reptilians in an epic battle that sunk a continent beneath the waves millennia ago? I don’t know about you, but information like that is EXACTLY what we need!

I’m very lonely. I’m not sure I’m quite lonely enough to appear on a show like that.

Aw, man, really sucks to have that spoiled for me. Marvel villains are always so dynamic and compelling.

Season 2 is great - we get Justice Society plus Darhk-Thawne-Merlin are high comedy together. Also, Letcher is a better Thawne than Tom Cavanaugh.

I thought the co-captains thing came about pretty naturally. It started with Sara being gone for a couple episodes because she was visiting Star City/Caity Lotz was on director duty, and she left Ava in charge because, really, who are the other options? Constantine? Behrad? Mick?

Favorite moment would probably have to be Damien Darhk fight-dancing to “Return of the Mack.” Neal McDonough was such a treasure after he was freed from Arrow’s second-worst season.

The entirety of season 1 is worth it just for the return of Vandal Savage.  That wouldn’t hit nearly as hard without a season’s worth of nonsense beforehand.

The “I’m just kidding, god doesn’t exist” follow-up was my favorite.

I recall Roger Ebert putting Juno at the top of his 2007 list. He wrote that while other movies may be formally better, Juno won his heart. This is how I feel about Paul Springs, my favorite film of the year. It’s such a feel-good movie, and, at the same time, melancholy too since it has to do with love and time,

“...the rare 90-minute comedy that I want to be longer”

yeah it’s kind of amazing how he just kind of brute forced everyone into liking him. i was fond of lonely island stuff like ‘the bu’ before snl so i always had a soft spot for him, but people were out for blood during bk99 season one.

If ten years ago you’d told me, “Hey, you know that guy from “Hot Rod” and Lonely Island? Turns out he’s a really good actor and in one of the best movies of 2020,” I’d have replied,” Pfft, yeah, sure, buddy. What are you gonna tell me next, that he’s married to Joanna Newsom or something?”

Yeah, her decision to spend what I imagine are years not hanging out with a slacker screw-up and applying herself, only going back to him after she’d leveled up & come up with a solid plan, made her one of the best romantic comedy heroines ever.

The reveal about where Sarah has been waking up each morning was smart - it does a lot to explain why her desperation to break out of the loop is so much more persistent than anyone else’s.

In another year, distinguishing between streaming and theatrical releases would make sense, but isn’t that a pretty blurry line this year?
