Pills without therapy, pills without otherwise maintaining a healthy/balanced lifestyle will not work, of course. But telling someone with a mental illness that wrecks their fucking life that they just need to go for a run and pet a puppy is ridiculous.

Oof. I was on Depakote for a bit when I was really young (seriously, this asshole psychiatrist put a fifteen year old who had never taken anti-depressants/mood-stabilizers before on Depakote) and was a zombie.

Agree with your point about the availability of arthouse cinemas -- I lived in Billings, MT for several years (the largest “city” in MT!), and they did not have any kind of arthouse cinema until about 2015. It was in a storefront, sat about 30 people in folding chairs, and had a pull down projector screen. It was also

It’s interesting to think about this debate in terms of classical music. For me, the value of pop culture, is reflected in that movie scores (Howard Shores’s Lord of the Rings in particular) were my gateway into classical music. It was as if seeing a score amplify a visual medium helped me see the stories in classical

What this show has done for Darcy and Jimmy Woo is pretty great. Darcy was the vaguely irritating sidekick of a sidekick, and Agent Woo (while adorable and Randall Park) was pretty much played for laughs in AM&W.

It’s a completely different design from the AoS/Runaways Darkhold. And, hey, who doesn’t want another grimoire with world-ending potential running around the MCU?

I think she said “suspicious mole I can’t see,” which is why she would have needed Wanda to look at it, but I think your point stands as to whether its a jab.

She got to do a superhero landing twice! Once when she first made it through the barrier, the other after going toe-to-toe with Wanda.

Re: “quarantine-style,” I’m choosing to believe that, as a person on whom experiments have been performed, she is familiar with quarantines for a different version. If I don’t do that, I’ll be trying to untie that knot for weeks instead of just listening to “Agatha All Along.”

There’s a halfway decent chance Netflix would pay him an absurd amount of money to add to their stable of Hallmark-esque movies.

While they both struggled with pacing, I at least found Birds of Prey to be both coherent and fun. WW84 was so incoherent I was literally wondering if I had accidentally drank an entire bottle of wine (and not just half).

THANK YOU. I left a response to this effect on another comment, but RIGHT?!

Yeah, the description of Chidi’s departure was... super harsh and kind of unfair? It kind of seems like the author missed the whole goddamn point of the door an what it meant. The author seemed to interpret it as some version of yelling “See ya never, bitch!” and then jumping off a cliff.

My sister and I have been debating this for a long time. My conclusion is that everyone’s line is different. And the lines are probably different depending on the artist in question, too. I have been struggling for a long time with how to balance how much I adore Buffy and Angel with how much of a shitbird Whedon is.

I think my eyebrows may have merged with my hairline reading Michelle Trachtenberg’s rule. Jesus H. Motherfucking Christ.

His fourth-wall breaks sometimes seemed a little like fritzing. Like when he and Wanda are sitting on the hay bales and under his breath he says “empathetic brother character” or something like that.

Personally, I think it’s foreshadowing, especially coupled with his “cool as hell” comment.

It has to be someone we already know, right? And, considering the build up (mention last episode and then again in this one), it has to be someone big? Strange is not a bad guess (and I think the one that makes the most sense), but maybe its a synergy thing and it’s like... Falcon because that’s what’s coming out

I think they’re probably just townspeople? But who knows at this point.
