I added more to the convo than whining about being in the grays. That might have something to do with it.

The comment that likened your post to Skip Bayless was even more apt than I originally thought!
When most people who call him the greatest ever base THEIR argument on his playing of the game (and compare him to others, instead of only talking about how great Jordan was), then I’ll drop my point.
I hate it when I let a dong slip right through my fingers.
Nike and Gatorade made millions and MILLIONS of people who know dick-all about basketball convinced beyond the shadow of a doubt, and without the need for debate or evidence that Jordan is the best ever and will never be surpassed. He was in Space Jam and had his own sneakers - he must have been great!
This is some delightfully subtle shade.
Lebron led the entire Finals in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals.
It needs to be debated. Because it really feels like Nike and Gatorade crowned this guy in the mid-90s and we all just went along with it.
At this point we’ve just decided Jordan was the best, and literally no one will ever be considered better, not because he is objectively the best. But because we’ve made “Jordan”…
He’s also the only guy to lead a Finals in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals AND blocks.
After being the first guy to lead a Finals in scoring, rebounds and assists in last year’s Finals.
The fact that you think “nearly singlehandedly” is the same thing as “single handedly” is absurd.
If your #hottake is 100% based on deliberately misrepresenting the other person’s argument, maybe it’s not worth sharing.
A brave stand. Saying Jordan is best ever. Keep fighting the good fight!
The idea that ANYTHING about Jordan is UNDERrated is so laughable, I don’t even know where to begin.
