I am amazed that not a single soul has asked “ Why is this “cow” named “Knickers”? “ The answer being “large underpants” .

As in a seemingly abandoned amusement park?

The flight was not overbooked. It was full. It was only “overbooked” when United decided to put 4 United employees on an already full flight. This being the case I wonder if the terms of contract re overbooking will fall under the definition and would still apply.

I’m sure someone else has made the point by now, but most of the comments I have seen are along the lines of him being possibly concussed and therefore confused. His earlier objection to leaving the flight seemed logical ie that he was a doctor who needed to attend to his patients the following morning.

For the love of god, don’t show this to Outback ™.

Something tells me Melania will be wearing a lot of Lagerfeld. Meryl looks lovely, that dark blue is better colour for her anyway.

Make up!

Not so poor Jeb, apparently he has plans for edumacation a la Betsy, if the Dept doesn’t disappear

Apparently the artist herself has developed a sensivity to the material and has to wear heavy protective gear when working. That is after some 30 years of working closely with the material. So I am going to say she was aware but I suspect what happened is that all concerned underestimated the likelihood of having that

She’s over 70. I am sure that makes her recent work more valuable.

It is not rare cedar. It is western cedar from a renewable source.

Buy tonnes of 4 x 4 planks. Spend up to a year hand cutting and creating interlocking structure with team of 4 assistants ( because you are a 70 year old ), sand, rub in graphite, transport, instal, get paid for materials, rent, weuipment, insurance, wages, skill and reputation. Yep, that easy!

Btw, it was not made by “ cutting down a tree” . The artist hand cut 4 x 4 planks of western cedar from a renewable source. The pieces are shaped and interlocked. There are several articles online about her, her process and studio.

Have you ever heard of the Art in Architecture program. That is what this is. I didn’t make assumptions. On the contrary I checked the facts.

So many complaining about money being spent on art should understand that the GSA Art in Architecture program, requiring one half of a percent of a federal buildings’ construction cost be soent on publicly scaled art by living American artists, began in 1972. 1972 people. The excellence in architecture program began
