No clips... more “time heist” ala Avengers... the macguffin in the trailer was clearly time-travel adjacent, and we see old-man Indy roll a massive boulder in a cave, punching a Nazi castle, etc... implying the time travel was Indy ensuring the past happened as it was.
IMHO, Indy 5's failure falls at the hands of the Member Berries Marketing team... It looked like pure nostalgia bait, a time travelling romp through Indy’s most memorable moments, thanks to some fakeouts in the trailer including the boulder from Raiders. They didn’t trust people would just see an Indy adventure that…
Sure, but would this casting... er... kick ass?
The OG was an award-winning achievement in graphic arts. The Audible version, miraculously so too in its field. Pre-disposed to believe they can’t make this work (aka “it works better in the imagination”), but dammit if I’m not stoked for it. I just hope they swing for the fences at every turn. Better an epic miss out…
My Gen X cynicism has dissolved. Give this to me. I need it. I didn’t know I needed it, but I do.
Bottom shelf Old Forester is solid, Whiskey Row series is great, OFBBs are exceptional (though admittedly stupid hard to get.
This list is missing some heat.
It’s a Kentucky only release, but the Barton Chocolate Bourbon Ball Cream is the absolute best of these. Find yourself a bottle.
Sweet potatoes for the win:
My pups Candy, Whiskey and Sugar approve.
I’d be down to see Player 240's story... her backstory seemed rife with potential. (Ji-yeong, for those playing along at home.)
Possible they moved MoM to give it more distance from The Batman, which would’ve opened just 3 weeks prior?
All good. Agree to disagree. I’ll take a Pike’s Place or Sumatra black and enjoy it. It’s my personal preference for a quick-serve brew.
I’m shocked Starbucks isn’t #1 here. 1) The sell an addictive product people don’t just want, they NEED. 2) Their loyalty points program and app are the best in the game. 3) For a company their scale, they still brew a great cup of coffee.
Ordered. Los Angeles does many things right, but we’ve not cracked the code on an amazing half-sour pickle, let alone a Gin-half-sour. (Sorry Brent’s... you’re close, but not quite there.)
The motivating incident that drives the book is Anansi’s “death.” He’s barely in it, and when he is, he’s an old man. Not a spoiler, it’s the plot.
Safe + Fair drizzled popcorn is insanely good - the full stack and chocolate drizzle - and top 9 free! YumEarth Chewies are pretty great, much better than the Giggles anyway. The fruit snacks are tasty too, but not so much candy. Have you tried Undercover Snacks? Or Free2Be? (Food allergy dude here... I’ve tried it…
I can’t be the only one legitimately intrigued by this hosting gig. Give me a GREAT host or something ODD - something to add a spark of novelty. I’m worried it’ll just be boring, like default non-Mulaney episodes.
This is genius and terrifying.
