There’s no attitude I find more repellent than aggressive hipster posturing. At some point people apparently decided that ironic detachment was the “cool” thing to do, and all it does is drag down everyone.
But why should these talented accapella singers who are making lots of money singing be ashamed? Not everyone will like them--I don’t--but I don’t get why they should feel bad or anything.

The thing is...victims probably want the charges dropped because they know that the abuser won’t serve much or any time for that act but will definitely come back angry and blame the victim.
