There’s significant difference in meaning between accusing a kid who has been through a traumatic experience of being an actor paid to lie about a fictional experience and saying the typical kid will uncritically believe and go along with just about anything a trusted adult will tell them.

Well, for one thing these children weren’t involved in any sort of crisis (fictional or otherwise) for them to fake having been involved in in order to push an agenda. They’re missing at the very least the “crisis” part.

There’s a substantial difference between this and children who were nearly killed in a shooting talking about their experiences.
