the Corolla subcompact

No. We all know this and I seriously doubt anyone is running out to buy a Changli because of these articles. On the other hand, I enjoy reading these posts because I’m not getting hit over the head with things I already know. This is why the Torch or Tracy posts are my favorite, or when we’re lucky, Torch and Tracy.

It gets too hot here to walk to work, not that I haven’t considered it from time to time. But when the sun is out, I’ll be drenched in sweat by the time I get there, and that’s when it’s “only” 80 or so outside.

Your story about the pits as a child reminds me of another favorite breed. Great Pyrenees. GPs are breed to be flock protectors.

They could just offer the Montero Sport that they also sell in Mexico which rides on a much newer platform (shared with their L200/Triton midsized truck). They start at $32K over there and they are BOF, offer 3 rows of seats, 7 airbags, ESP, 4WD with locking diff. I don’t think they would need to tweak it too much for

The full sized Montero is old (dating back to the mid 00s), however Mitsubishi also offers the Montero Sport in some countries and I’d say they look appealing. With a 110 in WB, 4WD with locking diff, 8spd Aisin and optional 3rd row I would definitely cross shop it with a 4runner. I’ve seen a couple near the border

Not my picture, just a random search on google for pit bull lap dog. But all Pits are lap dogs. I had one foster I called “Hat” since she loved to sleep on my head. Her daughter was “Sweater” since she would sleep on my chest. “Hat” had been a momma about 90 times or so and it was hard to watch TV with the saggage

Wow, vicious animal you have there. :) I love Pits - this picture encapsulates my experience with them as well. They are just large and muscular lap cats oftentimes that you can also go hiking with.

I work with animal rescue. This stuff about evevyone getting a fur buddy is great. But... the worrying side is that dogs get used to having a human with them at all times. When (if?) things go back to normal, there will be a lot of problems with separation anxiety with dogs.

Pound for pound, I think EVs are still too expensive for broad appeal in America. For $35k, you can get all sorts of 3-row SUVs. Spending the same amount on an EV puts you in something the size of a Civic.

I’ve been wondering about the Pajero/Montero as it’s really old now.  It made sense in my mind that Mitsu might use the next Nissan Patrol/Armada/Infiniti QX80 platform for a new Pajero/Montero since Nissan bought into Mitsubishi and use a Nissan factory to produce it.

I want to rate this NP, but $9900 is about $900 too high for an asking price, and $1400 too high for a selling price.

That’s very unfortunate-looking.

I think they would be targeting a different market then the mini-vans you mentioned. I’m thinking more of something to target the buyers who would otherwise be spending $20-50k on an element, Eurovan or Mercedes Metro to have something more lifestyle and image oriented,

Except Hyundai and Kia still make and sell a crapton of rather basic cars that very much fill that niche - solid value, good warranty, decent vehicles, pretty darn reliable and well built these days. A Forte or Elentra or Soul is not a bargain basement car anymore - but they are still a little less than Hondas and

I agree. I have no plans on buying one of these, but my experience with the Mitsu crossovers is that they’re competent and inexpensive transportation for people who want a reliable vehicle and don’t really care about anything else (i.e. the exact opposite of most Jalops). My gf drives an outlander sport and I really

I wish Mitsubishi brought this over.

Thing is, the outlander plug in hybrid was quietly a sales success for them. It was a decently priced, well equipped, eco forward midsize crossover when no one else was doing it. The people who buy them love them I hear.

Can you explain how it’s less practical? It has more passenger volume, more cargo volume, and gets 28/34 mpg. It’s only a 3-4 K price difference, but the Fit MPG is 33/40 so that’s better.

Fuck you, Honda.  And fuck the other carmakers as well. It’s a shame to see the most affordable cars being axed.  And in the case of the Fit, a great car is being axed.
