maybe the question isn’t whether this thing is dubiously low priced but if literally EVERYTHING ELSE in the world is dubiously high priced?

Tesla don’t even give you a ‘FASHION’ sticker. What a ripoff!

Thank you guys so much for doing something as patently ridiculous as actually buying this thing, and sharing your experience with us. This is exactly the sort of silly escapist fun we all need right now. Keep em coming!

Jason, have you started a Changlis & Coffee yet?

FINALLY! I’ve been refreshing Jalopnik hourly for the past couple of days for this. Should I one-up Jason and get the second-cheapest car on Alibaba so that we can drag race?

I would definitely buy one if it wasn’t for all the added costs of actually getting it into the country.

Cause even fiat doesn’t love them.

3.141592 to the power of however many other stripes are on the vehicle.

I shouldn’t be so excited about this, but damn..I am ...

It makes you wonder how cheap cars could be sold for here if there were no regulatory requirements at all. I bet someone could do a pretty decent $5,000 car.

I don’t leave the house to drop the kids off at the pool. But... it’s possible that’s all the Changli is going to be suitable for.

Brilliant move! No one even remembers the name Mazda used before MX-5.

Have you considered how much longer those cars have been on the market and how many more cars they sell? Of course you’re going to see more very high mileage examples.

Good for you for not putting up with antiquated salespeople. Trashing the competition is a weak move. Talk up your product, don’t trash others. If the customer brings up the competition, ask them why they are considering it and then do a point-by-point comparison, but don’t just tell them it’s cheap trash.

I dislike sales people that put down other makes as well. When I was looking there were a few salespeople that did that. I just got up and left. They were wondering why. Told them exactly that I was there to listen about your vehicle, not you bad mouth another brand.

For the same MSRP as a loaded Telluride, you can buy an entry-level MB GLC with a few options, one size-class smaller and probably without the same content level.

Should the readership just interpret your use of “fake” as meaning “lacking brand prestige”? If so, then you probably need to realize that a lot of people don’t want to pay a badge tax just so people like you approve.

We ended up buying a Honda, because my wife didn’t want something as big as the Telluride on a daily basis. She thought the Telluride was a tremendous vehicle though, just too big to deal every day. We ended up getting a CRV, but at a different dealership. The salesman committed two errors. I hate when salespeople
