I’ve been playing somewhat of the same game. Rode the Trump green waves by listening to “conspiracy theories” that he was manipulating the market. It’s no secret these tariffs are ploys to benefit investors that know when they are coming (thanks to White House connections).

I probably wouldn’t hesitate to get one over the CTR or GTI...

How the shit could Uber have lost over $16bn in less than four years when they don’t pay their drivers a penny in actual salaries and benefits? That’s an absolute crapload of money, I’m boggling here.

here’s also a link to the listing if you’re curious!

Now playing

If you wanna watch the old ad for this here you are:

Honestly it’s not that far off from the current one. If anything, it looks like its been Crossovered (that should be word in the automotive world by now) with a little lift kit and some poke

Hyundais tend to be fairly generous to the driver’s room, especially height. They will complete sacrifice the rear to do so. Normally you can always stretch out and have a lot of shoulder/hip room. Knee/footwell tends to be tighter but not bad. I am 6'3" and found them better than most Fords. Fusion is good, better

Wow, strong opinions huh?

Oh they’ll build them...last. It’ll be the tail end of the production run so that the people who are in the “GOTTA HAVE IT NOW” mentality end up paying more. the patient ones can have them cheaper.

The Euro version of Buick is rated at 3,500 lbs of towing.

The Buick TourX is rated low but the same equivalent Opel /Vauxhaul Insignia is rated at 3,5000 lbs of towing elsewhere at lower speeds.

...and? I really think the TourX sucks, but if you’re getting all your advice from a guy on Kinja and not test driving and forming your own opinions then you’ve got bigger problems than me. It was an unmitigated turd to drive and from a utility perspective. I took it home for a weekend they were so desperate to

Your wife’s CVT isn’t a belt drive style.  You have a big V6 and 2 electric motors all dancing with a planetary gear assembly (and a 3rd electric motor attached to the rear axles).  Entirely different animal.

It’s fall of 2022, and you’re taking a drive through Asheville. The mountain back roads are perfect to carve in the FR-S you just managed to pick up for a sweet deal.

Thats a good point. People are treating their cars like Iphones and just plugging them in where ever there is an outlet. Their logic must be that since you would let me charge my phone here, you cant mind me charging my car since the cost is technically pretty low.

I think its interesting how people are playing it off, because the value of what he stole isnt valued that much. Imagine having someone come to your house and start stealing fuel from a tank you had in the back for fueling your cars, tractors or if someone started syphoning gas from your car.

My entire philosophy regarding social media.

No.  Because it is plugged into your home without your permission.  That’s trespassing and theft.  The culprit has no defense in this.  He/she is wrong.  People can’t take advantage of you at will and think it’s okay.

The thing that stands out to me is the assertion that the Tesla driver didn’t even offer an apology. That would have been the least they could do. The other thing I am curious about, is if the charging cable wasn’t long enough to allow him to go from the car to the receptacle while still on the swale, what would he

Keep the charging cable. Those things aren’t cheap.
