Those downsized turbos you speak of have a massively hard time hitting their rated fuel consumption numbers.  Natural aspirated engines don’t seem to have that problem

He second gen was a real revelation. I remember an early top gear episode where hammond gushed about that car

Plus the void will eventually fill with road tar, debris, ice.... The wheel would tear itself apart going down the road

A 1998 Hyundai Tiburon was actually my first brand new car, soon after college. I got it because a friend had one and I really liked it. Also, I was on a streak of bad luck with BMWs and needed to end that.

I always had a guilty pleasure for the Hyundai Coupe (as it was called here in the UK) especially the first gen models. The Evolution F2 was quite a looker.....

The original release was my favorite look. The first gen refresh, with it’s grotesque spider-eyed face, was a huge step back.

Another Volt owner here. Bought a 2013 in December 18. I used to daily drive a WRX wagon and spent $400/mo in fuel alone. The savings in gas pay for the car, let alone maintenance cost. It’s easily one of the best value cars out there, drives very nicely on the highway and hasn’t had any issues in terms of battery

Also— why the fuck are you going straight to a volvo or a Merc?

...what do you do if you can handle the payments but don’t have a good credit score?

A: Don’t get one at all.

This. They should have used Trailblazer for the shitty CUV that is the new Blazer and then sent the product teams scurrying to slap together a BoF new Blazer based on Colorado that looks like a boxy real SUV. Would have sold in big numbers I bet.

I was told about FUH2 by friends who despised what the H2 stood for. And the hatred did not arise from the car itself, or its military origins. It arose from the bros who drove them (badly), their choice of brodozer reduced to a symbol of their misogyny, rape culture; or if not that, then their excessive consumption

I’ll never understand why the 2 companies that brought hybrid electric cars to the mainstream bet against electric cars.

“I shopped around and looked at the Kias, but couldn’t get past the massive depreciation hit on a 40k dollar Kia.”

There’s a joke in here somewhere about Hyundai and Kia dealers’ distorted sales tactics.

That’s a sweet looking Fisker Karma in Stinger trim

This hurts my brain

That’s a price that doesn’t Sting! I only have Forte dollars in my wallet. But I’ll need to do some Soul searching before I find my Optimal next car.

“You want fires with that?”

is the owner the guy casually sitting in front of his burning car/ propane tank combo?
