The system in my car actually tells me when the batteries are getting low...but even when they die, you just pull the physical key out of the fob and use that.
Agreed. Love the AKE system in my car. Keys are either in my pocket or the cupholder at all times. I’ve gotten so accustomed to it that I’ve tried to start my wife’s car on several occasions without the key in the ignition.
This apparently happens at CES a lot too. Are they this brazen or just stupid?

Consider that SEMA likely gets a good portion of it’s yearly revenue from this show so they can fund their GR/PR activities...member dues alone don’t support thorough government relations efforts. So yea...it’s important.

I’ve been doing this manually for years. Certainly not as effective, but has saved my car’s ass on a number of occasions.
While the ads are kinda annoying, I was with Geico for many years and had two incidents where I need to make a claim. Both times it was easy breezy and they did everything they could to make it right for me.
