He is making it harder for Virginia, though. We are so close to getting progressive legislation passed. We have nearly a 50/50 Senate and House. With Fairfax as Governor and his replacement as Lt. Governor, we can push progressive stuff in this state and make it actually a good place to live.

And it’s capable of being divorced from that Christian meaning very easily, case in point, my Christmas celebration yesterday involved inviting a friend over for dinner, giving my wife some lovely and fun gifts, eating cookies, and playing Final Fantasy.

Because that’s a joke holiday invented by Jerry Seinfeld and has no cultural impact outside of the select few who watched the show. It’s Christmas, and it’s not a religious holiday to a large number of people.

It’s a cultural shorthand.
