It’s a non sequitur. No one in the comments has advocated telling Christians they can’t celebrate Christmas or pray over the dinner table. The only thing we’ve been saying is let atheists bow out of the prayers rather than force them to pray along with you (or be forced to go to church, etc.)

Christmas has largely been divorced of its religious connotations in the public sphere. Christmas is now much more a holiday about gathering with friends and family, sharing gifts and stories, and other such things. I celebrate Christmas cause it’s a cultural thing, not a religious thing to me anymore.
