Pokemon fans aren’t happy.

I gotta think that the “Metaverse” that Meta/FB keeps mentioning is more than just a VR landscape... like it’s gotta be something more visionary.

But damn it really is just a VR hangout lol. Idk man... idk.

Went to checkout Coffee Talk and was met with a ton of 1-star reviews all complaining about imposing permissions-- things like getting access to your personal data, friends list, etc. I’m not a paranoid person but does anyone know more about this? I have never had a game ask me for those permissions before...

Hades is a bit different since repeatedly dying is an integral part of the story. They do an outstanding job of fleshing out characters and building relationships through this scenario. I agree that the premise has become a bit over-done but Hades really makes it work here.

It’s FOMO plus the fact that none of these “issues” are really all that bad. Gamers blow this stuff out of proportion.

What’s up with Gamers and wanting to see things fail lol. If you don’t like it you don’t need to play it-- there’s a bazillion games coming out every year, your choices are aplenty.

I will go into the church.

First time I played Automata I quit during Ending B, thinking that I already had the game figured out. “Are we the baddies?”, “Do robots have feelings?”, yadda yadda, not for me... But a few years ago I had nothing to play so I gave it a second try, this time forcing my way through Ending B. Lets see what the nerds

Saying you’re “done with video games” is as ludicrous as saying you’re done with music or movies or something. Video games are huge. Everyone makes them and everyone plays them. Find the parts that you like. Ignore the parts you don’t.

It’s gonna sell. A lot. That’s why they’re remaking this. Gamers severely underestimate the effort and money put into projects like these.

It’s just a file format. You can rename anything to .pdf

“For many of you reading this, that’s probably not the news you wanted to hear.”

Insane to me that the video game industry is still using Waterfall development. It’s why QA is always shoved to the end and also treated worse. Creating an entire game and then passing it to QA saying “Welp, get to testing!” is so insanely backwards— they will have no test framework or automation setup for any of

I just wanna say that it took me two times to really get into this game. The first time I played it I made it halfway through Ending 2 before quitting, thinking that I knew everything they were gonna give me— like we get it, “robots have feelings”, “are we the baddies?”, etc... But when I started over again a few

“you know, a serious and deep story that is also a videogame...”

I know exactly what you mean, but you’re doing yourself a disservice by writing off TLOU2 as one of those games. It’s not only a good story “for a videogame”, but actually achieves something that *only* a videogame can...

This is such a Gamer take. Reeks of know-it-all.

Bethesda has a great track record of not only building the biggest worlds in the industry, but also filling them with tons of content and wonder. I get it, we’ve seen a bunch of mediocre games come out and prioritize quantity over quality, but let’s give the benefit of

The original game came out nearly 10 years ago, so a remake makes sense. I think most people are getting caught up on the existence of a Remaster from just awhile ago— but a Remake and a Remaster are different things. I know that the term Remaster has varying degrees of impact; some Remasters are just resolution bumps

People are hating because of their prior experiences of single-player-going-multi being lackluster, and I don’t blame them. That being said, TLOU franchise has two of the greatest games ever made— why not trust the makers to expand that into something new? They’ve exceeded all expectations with their previous games,

The video game industry (and art-entertainment in general) is a copycat business, so homogeneity is expected wherever you look. But at least with indie titles we can hope for something truly unique and refreshing. “Birth” certainly looks like something new!

Idk. Even here in Seattle we’ve gotten away from this... been going to sporting events and concerts. Nothing is required anymore. Some small businesses and clubs still require it, which I happily provide, but the state does not enforce these things anymore. I don’t put this on the expo...
