All I need is new maps. Everything else is fluff. Removing Behemoth sucked... maybe it was good for the ultra-grinders and Pro’s, but it was one of the best maps to play when you were with friends. Every other map feels so sterile and ESPORTS. Hoping the new maps provide more “Wow!” moments and less min/max moments.

Bring back SOCOM you cowards.

People love this aspect, but for me personally it sends my anxiety into a tailspin lol. It’s like in XCOM— I always enjoy the first half, but once the “there is no right answer” phase kicks in, I can’t bring myself to boot it back up.

Imagine being a huge corporation and selling individual video games lol. Movies don’t even sell tickets anymore. Services are king.

I’m glad they do, too. Unironically. It’s refreshing to have a game that has mystery and intrigue. There are a thousand games out there that tell you everything. It’s nice to have something different, something that confuses me and leads to surprises.

If these gaming services are anything like movie streaming services, they will continue to burn money until they start making their own content. Netflix, Amazon, Hulu... they all started a huge push several years ago to create their own content. You see Microsoft attempting to do that too, via studio/talent acquisition

Just the term “source code” for a tech company of that size is sooooo obtuse. It would be like stealing sugar from a baker and then trying to figure out how to make a cake... like you don’t know the other ingredients, you don’t know how to mix it, what temperature to bake it at, for how long, etc. It’s just

This game bit off more than it could chew. I don’t think it will ever reach a point where it is considered “great”. CDPR simply doesn’t have the iterative development behind it that is required to make open world cities feel alive. They don’t know where they can take shortcuts and where they need to go over-the-top.

Linked to real world prices”...? I understand that the flashiest and best cars need to be earned through progression (as is true for any video game), but this statement seems super tone deaf. The point of playing Gran Turismo / Forza is to be able to drive realistic replications of supercars, all for the low price of

I can’t even imagine chasing “the meta” in a Souls game. A huge part of the experience is that your discovery is unique to you. Experimentation and how you go about that process is your own... though I suppose researching the meta is also a process that you can take. Just seems weird to me, like reading the last page

“Try finger, but hole”

I have Elden Ring and Destiny 2 (god dammit lol) to carry me through the month. Tbh I need a new Game Pass game for me and my partner to enjoy after dinner. It’s been a great way to show them how enjoyable it can be after a long day at work. We miss It Takes Two!

The stats and individual terms are all explained (INT, Skills, etc) . But the use-cases and interactivity are purposefully left opaque. What made it very difficult in the earlier games like Demon Souls and Dark Souls was that knowledge could only be gained by trial-and-error, which was absolutely brutal when using

Agreed. They get so extremely repetitive. Like, we get it, the joke was funny the first time... it’s always been that way in Souls games but this is definitely the worst of all of them lol. Feels like an /r/all comment chain. Just the same shit over and over again between a few nerds. Beating the shit out of a joke.

Lol that was me with Sekiro. Make it to the halfway point and leave the game for a bit. Come back later and you realize you’re too far to start over, but also too rusty to make progress.

Didn’t Kotaku just go on like a month long rant against the retro video game auction scene? This shit is a crock. The reason these things keep popping up is because they’re not actually rare lol.

The game certainly looks amazing. At the same time, it feels like they just jammed as many particles and moving bits in it as they could... similar to the latest Battlefield. Whatever! It works!

This is actually pretty rare for Destiny. The actual shared online experience is typically amazing.

Yeah. The “network code”. Tell us all about it.

Why is this always with Gamers / internet-nerd culture?
