I’m seeing a high number of Tesla’s with some variation of anti-Elon bumper stickers around suburban Boston. A few of my coworkers that have Tesla’s have stated theywon’t buy another one. Killing the brand equity of Tesla and his pet Twitter at record speed! 

And I imagine it hasn’t helped much in shifting that target market over to the MAGA crowd, either.

I’ve said before that Tesla’s biggest advantage was the Supercharger network, but since that’s been opened up to anyone, people who want an EV are no longer funneled to Tesla.

You know where they should do it? The middle of the Atlantic Ocean. No government has jurisdiction there. There also aren’t any roads for the car or landing/fuelling locations for the helicopter, so everyone and everything involved would soon be joining that stupid sub down by the Titanic.

It certainly isn’t everything, but to say that the simple visceral experience of that kind of acceleration, even if you’re just the passenger, isn’t fun? Naw, that’s fun.

To be fair - the UK did Brexit in 2016 first. But I knew as soon as that happened that we’d follow suit with our own special version of stupid.
