Guns are the second-leading cause of death of children and teens in the United States, after motor vehicle crashes. It’s not the other driver’s fault that you owe far more on a car than it’s worth. That driver just has to pay to replace what he (or she) broke, and that’s the value of the vehicle. If you’re an idiot and owe $60k on a $40k truck, that’s your problem.  It wouldn’t be fair to make the other driver pay more just because…
