Mashable dedicated an article to the use of squelching and wet in the subtitles:
I was a big fan of the subtitles while Running Up That Hill was playing in the Max-overcomes-Vecna scene. “Emotional bridge builds” and “Powerful drum line builds” were 100% accurate.
“Wet” squelching.
I will be finding out soon enough if that's the case!
Planning to start The Bear this week. I watch a lot of FX so I’ve been seeing a ton of ads for it and The Old Man for the longest time now. I hope the article was a typo saying a chef returns home to “ruin” his family’s restaurant. I assume run, unless that was a Freudian slip.
This show did for Kate Bush and this song what the skateboarder drinking the cranberry juice did for Fleetwood Mac and Dreams. If it gets young people to discover good music, I’m good with that.
You gotta go back and watch now. It’s one of my favorite parts of that movie (which is one of my favorite movies). The deadpan “Happy Thanksgiving back” and “Who’s there?” is classic.
I haven’t watched many things that Sara Ramirez has been in, but my favorite role is the tiny part in You’ve Got Mail as the cashier at Zabar’s who gives a hard time to Meg Ryan’s character and then is all smiles once Joe Fox tells the corny Knock Knock joke.

Ah ok, so maybe not the same axe then. I couldn’t remember exactly what kind of axe the Cousins used.
Of the Mad Men alum, she’s been the one who’s had the biggest career during (you could argue more than Jon Hamm) and after its run. She’s obviously a talented actress, but I wonder how much of her success is partly from being in the cult.
Deleted and moved my comment under deb03449a1's because I meant to put it under there.
Was the origin of the axe Marco Salamanca used in the BB world from this episode? I’m thinking Lalo comes back to the States with that axe and gifts it to the Cousins.
Thank you for explaining this! I was trying to figure out what the cord and the gun meant, and then the purposeful counting of steps. I don’t want Gus to kill Lalo! We obviously know any altercation they have together doesn’t result in Gus dying, so I guess it seems inevitable that Lalo’s fate is not a good one.
Yeah I can wear that hat, too.
I have zero showbiz experience, but can I be your AD?
I just read a couple good interviews with Michael Mando and in the Vanity Fair one, he talks about how Peter, Vince, and Melissa told him that he was going to have his “own feature film inside this season.” They were definitely right, but I also feel sad that it happened so early in the season as you do.
Olenna Tyrell would fist bump Nacho for that comment.
Bobby can make random appearances and be played by a different actor each time.
One of the things Howard did that showed he’s a decent guy was when he brought over a bottle of expensive Macallan to help cheer up Chuck in season 3.
