Exactly. Sean Brody’s reasoning above would make sense for a normal person without psychological issues, but for someone like Oraetta, it feels like there’s a deeper rooted reason. Is it because she’s racist and Ethelrida showing that she’s miles more ahead in emotional and intellectual intelligence than Oraetta makes

*shudders* I try to forget about those close-ups of his teeth.

1917 was also my last movie in the theaters pre-pandemic. Have you thought about seeing Tenet? Seems like one could easily go to a theater right now and be all alone on a random weekday showing.

It sounds like although Denis’s plan is to do two parts, it still hasn’t officially been given the go-ahead. Will be interesting to see how the current circumstances and the unknowable future box office will potentially decide if Denis gets to make the second part.

Doctor Senator at least for now is trying to look at the big picture. I was so happy when he was quick to point out to Loy that maybe the botched assassination attempt on Lemuel was the result of a power struggle between the Fadda brothers.

Rabbi is definitely one of the characters I’m most interested in this season (I like him the most, so in the Fargo world that probably doesn’t bode well for him). He obviously cares about Satchel, who in turn seems to like being under Rabbi’s wing.

Fair, but she’s annoying in the way that now I just skip over the scenes she’s in. I’ll be happy to be wrong once an episode recap tells me I should tune in to whatever she’s up to.

Right now it does seem like she’s there just for the accent and “Fargo” charm. I’m sure Noah Hawley has a story planned out for her, but so far three episodes in, I don’t care for her. And for now, she’s just a weirdo nurse who Josto can never remember (but I’m sure now he does).

This isn’t a knock on Jessie Buckley at all, but I find the Oraetta character annoying (maybe partly because she’s sinister towards the Smutnys for no apparent reason so far). In the same way I found Negan to be an annoying villain when I used to watch The Walking Dead.

Seems Noah likes to show vomiting too. I was rewatching S3E8 and there's that scene with Sy coming into the office after drinking the tea and vomiting in front of the secretary.

If TikTok can introduce an iconic band and song to the Gen Z crowd, then yes, I agree.

It was really well done and the way they changed the tone of the song to be more haunting matched what was going on in the scene perfectly.

I was a big fan of Noah Hawley and Jeff Russo’s version of Ship of Fools at the end of the episode in S3 when Ray finds Nikki beaten up.

I also liked S3 and tuned into the first episode tonight mostly because I was missing particular elements of S3, like the score and cinematography. I’m not hooked yet on this season, though it’s still early.

Also a 1981 person here and my house was even slower to get internet. We didn’t get it until I was finishing up high school already, and even then my siblings and I were just using free dial-up AOL trials. It wasn’t until I got to college where I finally learned what fast internet was. I remember being awed at how

Same. I feel like most people born in the early 80s would classify themselves more as Gen X, which I definitely do. No offense to millennials (okay, maybe some offense).

I’m going to have to start doing that to annoy my “Frisco” friends to see if they’re bothered. On a personal level, as a Californian, the nickname that I don’t care for is “Cali.” It just sounds juvenile to me, even when I was a juvenile.

I’ve visited many of the major Canadian cities and have never been nuanced enough to pick up on any of the regional accents. I’ve spent the most time in Calgary as I have relatives there, but to me I just hear them with a Canadian English accent. Native Canadians would probably be able to tell that they have an

I never knew there was even such thing as a “Toronto accent.” I hope this doesn’t make me sound close-minded, but I always figured in Canada there’s a “Canadian accent” and then some differences with those in Quebec, where the main language is French.
