I do understand the concept of buying “vehicles that need work” since they allow one to afford vehicles that would be out of reach. But your ability to bring monumental rust buckets to any sort of life in inspiring. fortunetely I don’t want to relive those days, but Amen to brother David!

Only delusional folk think national high speed rail is the answer to any question.  Except to boondoggle tremendous amounts of $$$

The testing criteria keeps getting upped.  Pretty soon they will need to add the climate change test: Total carbon unit output while the vehicle is on fire while driving through 5 feet of flood water.....

That’s not how it’s done in the US.  Us pilots just drop down and read the name on the water tower. ...

Don’t like something - ban it.  That’s what made America what we are today...

Current gen Mazda 6. Especially the base version with manual trans.  Quality build, quick enough, great mazda handling and steering feel, comfy.

I miss two door coupes. Maybe not as practical as a four door, but back in the day they had more style. They days of the personal luxury car: Cutlass, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Cordoba. No performance in the mid 70s. So a semblance of style was all you had.

Bring on the Brubaker Box!

I bought cheap, needing repair (or British -same thing) cars when I was in college and grad school. Always had the tool box in the car. And breakdowns were just another even. When I got a real job, I got sucked into the world of a “reliable vehicle” for commuting, trips, etc. No tool box.

Just consider the opportunity costs and options for your cash. Loans can be good or bad.

Batteries in.... The garbage.

The next gen Si will be very tempting....

5th gear. We need more CEO’s like the late Herb Kelleher.

Never forget that shareholders look at the next quarter - did results meet expectations. Cannot afford to give up the cash cow even when pursuing other technologies.

Folks harping on safety, or the lack there of in this vehicle. “We all need Tesla’s!” For $5000.

I loath younger generations that have turned their backs to two door cars....

1st gear. Let’s just take the freedom out of free enterprise. The government is always the path to improvement.....
