An Italian Spitfire so to speak. If the body is truly solid, what’s not to like. There cannot be many more in exitance.

I hadn’t seen this before. File it under one of the dumbest things I’ve seen.
I abhor EV subsidies. Our government should not be paying people to buy cars. And with EV’s, the $$$ is going to people that least need the extra cash to buy a car. If the gvt want to support new technology - we certainly need to advance battery technology - that would be a better option. Make any new technologies…
It hasn’t failed yet. Waiting for a few more Billion $$$ from Biden to be gifted their way. THEN we’ll a failure.
Subway and walking is the best way around Paris. Like NYC, a car is a hindrance.
A small hole in a pressurized cabin can cause a big blow-out. Lucky the impact area was not farther forward or aft.
The world needs an EV that doesn’t weight 5000 lb. I wish them luck
Young’uns don’t remember the old days. My second car was a ‘68 Mustang fastback GT. Bought it in 1978, 10 years old, with 114K miles. I put about 10,000 on it while I was in college. Car was past worn out by that time. On it’s second engine (a hopped up 351). Still burned quart of oil ever 150 miles. Bad valve seals…
Next task: Make them as light as ICE vehicles. They’re too blasted heavy. Fine for those that love to drive trucks. Not so much for sporty car folk.
Triumph Spitfire. Every trip to the store was a race. Full tilt. And no one else knew it. Had so much fun with that car. Teaches momentum conservation and cornering.
There are a lot of companies that utilize various traded commodities in their manufacturing process. Often the trading of said forth commodities, to mitigate risk, can bring in a lot of $$$. I sense that this is an integral part of Tesla’s intitial business plan. Brilliant.
2nd gear: Alas, I remember when lightness was a Lotus trademark. Electric is the future, but me thinks the weight of batteries is something that cannot be ignored. Which may make hydrogen a future option for performance vehicles...
1st gear: Notice these are all nicely liberal blue states, that just got a massive $$$ bail out from Biden under the guise of “covid relief”. They want the Feds (as in the people in all of the other states) to subsidize the elimination of ICE vehicles. States wanting to make this change is fine - but don’t ask /…
68-70 was the peak. Then add-on emissions equipment started the strangle, followed by the EPA. Once technology evolve to build in efficiency, say the early 80's, engines and cars started getting better.
AMC AMX. 1970. Orange. 390 with the GO package. I still want one.
First Gear - Liberals think the legislation will magically alter reality just because it fits their agenda. I ‘m not convinced a complete ban is needed. Just make EV’s a better option.
Common sense is not allowed. They must be forced to follow a the one size fits all global agenda....
If the fed is going to subsidize new electric vehicles, there should be an upper price point. Else you’re just giving free money to people that don’t need it.
Well, why not just have the government nationalize and consolidate the automotive industry. We can make everything to the same mandated government standard.
And cubic $$$ thrown at this won’t solve it.
