Ugh, talk about bastardization of the word “classic”....

I rescued a ’77 924 last summer that had been sitting for 16 years. I’ve not priced out a clutch yet, because fortunately mine seems to be good for now. But here’s the thing you need to remember about a car like this: There’s almost nothing for it that you can buy at your local auto parts store. It all has to come

hopefully its a direct hit on Mar lago

Or ya know, at another facility, or in a harbor, or at a dry dock... They don’t have to go out into high seas and try to install 160 foot tall masts.

Get fucked Amazon. Stop trying to sell me a premium cable package through my goddamned streaming device. Tell Bezos to just pay to lease the fucking rights to Mission Impossible Rogue Nation and stop asking me to add Paramount+ to my subscription

That was my thought; why would you pay all that money to buy a car like this to put-put to the grocery store on Sundays? To get trailered to a car show? Some Jalopnik posters love to deride people for being “posers” for buying high performnce cars that they don’t wring out or drive “as intended”...then when they

Stop it with the stupid videos. Please.

It’s definitely not worth $10k, even in this market, but $3,500 is low. $3,500 is basically “ran when parked” at this point. $5k to $6k is likely right in today’s market. Your point is well taken however.

The crazy car market price on this thing is $5k, maaaaybe $6k. This is a $3k car before, it is not a $10k car now. No dice to this boomer seller. If this had 15,000 miles and looked factory clean, maybe some lunatic would buy it. But it has surface rust. And didn’t the transmissions in these grenade themselves at

OHV” has been a sort of euphemism for “pushrod” since overhead cams became commonplace 30 or 40 years ago.

Yes, Armco barriers are really a thing. You know the steel guard rail on posts on the highway? That’s an Armco barrier. On a track they’re usually stacked to make a more significant barrier, though it’s a somewhat dated one that doesn’t usually appear on FIA Grade 1 tracks because there are better options.

I don’t watch any of the lower Formula series so I can’t really comment on those, but I’d argue at least four F1 drivers owe not having been seriously injured or killed to the halo:

If this was stock and low miles maybe. With all the aftermarket BS and 160k miles this is definitely a ND.

Its been hard to remember over the last few years, but this race is everything I love about F1, and why I’ve watched for the last 28 years.

100% correct. Mine is 20 years old and has under 10k miles on it. Probably should ride it more...

ummm what would be the point?

Yes, but green & purple was the best on the ZRX.

That’s a really beautiful bike. Just awesome.

I’ve always heard people pluralize it, and have never heard it any other way.

Because 90s sport bikes were hideous mostly? And generations were short. I could see some 80s stuff though. V45 Interceptor, first year GSXRs. RC30.
