Im a former GTI owner and i went GTI over BRZ before. But keep in mind that the GTI only comes in 4dr now and its heavier. So GTI is about 3100lbs compared to this GR86 weighing 2850. I’m not disappointed about the lack of turbo, fixing the torque dip seems to alleviate much of the power issues. I’m more upset with the lack of a rear hatchback and some T-tops.
