I get 20mpg in my 2006 paid for Element and don’t need to drop 2,500 more smackers for a rebuilt battery.

I had the same reaction.

Getting excited for this. I’ve had my FR-S since October of 2012, so assuming we’re all still around I’m thinking a 2023 model Fall of ‘22 will be a nice way to celebrate the 10th anniversary (though I still think the original gen is a little prettier).

If I had one gripe, diagonal movements, like shifting from third to fourth,

I’ve got a Gen1 twin (FRS) and it’s annoying that some of the niggling faults of the Gen1 are right there again:
Those god-awful tires.
Shitty seats, even with alcantara all over them they’re just not a good place to spend your time.
Those stupid snappy shoulder belt holders. Jeeezus fucking h christ! You’re charging

Im a former GTI owner and i went GTI over BRZ before. But keep in mind that the GTI only comes in 4dr now and its heavier. So GTI is about 3100lbs compared to this GR86 weighing 2850. That means they have the same power to weight stock. The Toyota actually weighs the same as an S2000 did. If you dont need the space

I’m not disappointed about the lack of turbo, fixing the torque dip seems to alleviate much of the power issues. I’m more upset with the lack of a rear hatchback and some T-tops.

Whoah there Pardnah’ Way to jump to conclusions. They’re creepy to me because of the Nazi affiliation. Grandad traded cigarettes for this shit.

While that is an interesting topic, it’s probably too complex with too many moving parts to really make sense in a post about an unrelated car winning a prize.

And let’s face it, Henry Ford’s rep wasn’t exactly sterling during that time either. Maybe not Hitler level, but it was bad enough.

I’m genuinely confused about this article, and the point it’s making.

It’s possible to own things without being invested in the views of the previous owners. I own WWII firearms that were used by Nazis to kill people and others that were used to kill Nazis. My feelings toward fascists don’t change depending on which one I take to the range.

Every time somebody complains to me about gas prices lately, I say ‘Yeah, it took $27 to fill my Prius last week and it only got me 500 miles.’ It’s pretty much all pickup and SUV drivers that complain. Nobody is making fun of me for the Prius right now.

when has the “virus issue” left for any of us?

The cheapest gas in my town is $4.26 for 87 octane unleaded. I generate electricity for the equivalent of 15c/kwh (pay-what-you-use lease model).

This is the 4 wheeled version of my daily, a '72 Yamaha CS5. I'm a tiny guy so I'd welcome the chance to know how normal size people feel in their normal size cars. And I always liked Midgets better than Bs. NP.

Think of how many more passengers could be accommodated if you could stack them like cordwood and treat them like luggage.

You are the car hero/maniac we need in these dark times of rational, practical crossovers.

Nice price. My buddy has one of these that I’ve driven a few times. For me, it proved that a car does not need to be fast to be fun. Very small inside. We went to pick up a large pizza one day, and had to leave the trunk half open to fit the pizza box inside. Also very cramped inside. But so much fun to drive. You

I suppose they could take them from TSA, but who would then keep us safe from the tyrannies of nail clippers.
