This is me yelling at Larry Hogan to get off my lawn. In fact, he visited the area a few months ago and I went to protest. I walked up to him and said, loudly, “Don’t you take my house.” And Hogan assured me, “We’re not taking anyone’s houses” while a lackey screamed “BYE” into my ear with a bullhorn over and over. He

Same on a lot of this. What gets me is, here’s a person who went into an issue with one perspective, got deep into the evidence, found out she was wrong and had the humility to change her mind and to be upfront about why she changed her mind. How freaking refreshing is that?

Here’s the thing. I think Pelosi was probably being sincere when she advised the incoming class of freshman to “go slow.” I think it’s probably been her experience over the last 25 years that she’s been in Congress that the way you build the trust and consensus necessary to pass actual legislation is by going slow and

I.  CANNOT. WAIT. to see how Kate does the trademark Elizabeth Holmes crazy eyes. It’s going to be so freaking perfect.

We all thought that showing the beauty of nature would have people wanting to save it, but instead, they said “ it looks fine to us “ and went along their business

From the WP story:

I think the privacy interests of the child — who is not compensated and who never consented to any of this — are worth considering. Particularly where certain details about birth and pregnancy, such as being significantly premature, are correlated with health problems down the line. And if the baby is a girl and

Naw. If they noticed at all (because, since when have they ever cared about black people?), they’d probably build some crazy quilt to prove that AG Holder really did shoot Nipsey Hussle on the direct orders of The Deep State because reasons.

I got on my library’s waiting list for this book.  I think I’m like 98th.  So, while not quite 40 years, I have a while to prepare myself :)

I don’t exactly feel any sympathy for her (didn’t she pose in pics where she was rowing? did she not think, “huh, this is weird.”), but I am TOTALLY convinced she could have gone along merrily Influencing for years without going to college. So, why the hell push her in that direction?  NOT ALL KIDS NEED TO GO TO

Super sad, but probably true.

Word. And they’re all sitting around scratching their heads like, “She’s put out a ton detailed policy proposals, but they don’t seem to be getting any attention. Hard to say why.”

I’ve got nothing against Beto himself, but the coverage of him rubs me the wrong way.  For example, I was listening to a political roundtable on my local public radio station, and they were all like, “Beto’s got this electricity. He’s an intellectual everyman!” and, by comparison, Elizabeth Warren’s calls to small

Cynically, I think the reason that the suspect’s name keeps showing up in the headlines (not just here - NYT did it, NBC News did it ) as opposed to, I dunno, “Suspect Arrested in the Murder of Nipsey Hussle” is to maximize clicks. A case of Search Engine Optimization gone awry.

Pretty sure it’s not, but yeah, same.

Dude’s name is Eric Holder? Seriously?

Worry not - mothers who don’t buy into “Mom Life” totally exist, and they’re the baddest bitches in town. But, you do have to have a strong sense of self in the first instance and the ability to maintain some goddamn BOUNDARIES! Being a mom (and wife, frankly) can be totally consuming, unless you set aside time and

Also a mom.  I . . . . would not be friends with them.  They seem dull.

They do it poorly.

There’s an amazing documentary out about Alexander McQueen, and one of the things that stuck with me was that before going to design school, he apprenticed for years as a tailor on Savile Row and was, unsurprisingly, extremely good at it. He could apparently cut and construct a jacket for someone on sight.
