To the anonymous docket clerk who made this happen: America owes you a debt of gratitude.  Thank you for your service.

That alone should disqualify him from holding elected office in New York.

When I was pregnant, I had mad cravings for lox all the time.  Now, it’s a no-no because it’s not cooked, but it was the second baby so I was a little lax.  I still attribute his smarts and shiny coat to all that lox.

I mean, ok, sometimes you’re desperate for lox and the bagel is just a delivery vehicle (COME AT ME, BAGEL FREAKS!), but there’s no evidence that this was the last bagel available. She asked for this, apparently more than once.

And the gators are all like, “Nah, he’s full of Big Macs and bad cigars. You got yourselves into this mess. YOU eat him.”

Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

::shudder::

When I’m 90 years old and 90% senile, I fully expect to still be saying “Merrick.Fucking.Garland!” any time a Republican says anything about a Supreme Court nomination.

I know very little about Tester, but I’m liking what I’m hearing. Replying to bump.

Part of me wanted something Shakespearean like Pence or ::gasp:: Ivanka, but with this administration, the dumbest explanation is generally the correct one. And the dumbest thing I could think of was that some B-list staffer got called out at a cocktail party for enabling this ongoing nightmare, and felt the need to

Hey baby.  Let’s get you outta the greys.

It was Pence. Now, with every new story, I ask myself—cui bono? For whose benefit? Pence would have the most obvious and immediate benefit from a removal of Trump. He clearly believes that Jesus Christ put him in this position to remove the immoral non-believer, cleanse the nation of this sin, and reshape the

Ditto. I like K.Stew generally but that line is . . . not particularly well written. Or provocative. Those words were taboo in the 70s, but George Carlin pretty well took care of that.

There were no old days. There have always been protestors. They have always been disruptive. That’s what they do. That’s what they’re entitled to do. That’s what they’re supposed to do.

I wish I could find the quote, but in her acceptance speech, Pressley called out Capuano as a true progressive and thanked him for his 20 years of service. It’s not that Capuano did anything wrong—actually, he did a lot of things exactly right—but Ayanna was so clearly closer to the local issues and the communities

hoping not to be the next “Yoko Ono”.

I feel like people are entitled to whatever reaction they have on stories of sexual violence and misconduct. It’s likely that some of the people posting those reactions have been impacted by sexual violence, either against themselves or against someone close to them. These stories strike some very raw nerves, some

Look, I was a fan too. And I’m sure some people are ready to welcome him back, and that’s fine. But, for me, what set him apart as a performer was his apparent decency and humility, and that was clearly a sham. And I really believed his denials up to the bitter end, and then I felt like an idiot for having done so.

Go watch Ali Wong’s Hard Knock Wife.  Maybe even better.

1) My first, instinctive reaction to this headline, “Oh, will you PLEASE FUCK OFF!!!”
