This comes up a lot in comments about articles referring to CFA and In-n-Out Burger for some reason, and it seems like it boils down to not understanding that “I don’t like something” is not the same as “overrated.”

That’s taking a lot of agency away from Polanski. The guy is responsible for his own actions, regardless of what happened to Sharon Tate. Having a loving and very much alive family hasn’t stopped men from committing rape in the past, so assuming it would’ve stopped Polanski is just wishful thinking.

You definitely can’t say that the murder of his wife led Polanksi to rape a child.

In a way ‘Furie’ seems to be weirdly related to ‘The Farewell’, in that its a story about the lengths one is willing to go to to protect a family member.

Apparently whiteness plays a part.

Since Lifehacker isthe ultimate authority on optimizing every aspect of your life”, and in no way a site driving a specific political agenda, could you now run an article showing how readers can HELP government agencies who are working to enforce the laws of this nation, and bring justice to those who have willfully

You forgot to put the word “ILLEGAL” Before immigrants.

Well it's obvious that feeling that way doesn't make one happier as you seem like an asshole.

Exactly! The current Trek films are so fucking fantastic—memorable and imaginatively conceivedI would be livid if someone swayed from the absolutely winning formula established by JJ Abrams. Just livid.

The climate is changing, but there is nothing we can do about it. The earth has literally been cooling and heating for millions upon millions of years. It’s above arrogant to think we can have a hand in that and it is above idiocy that people actually think we can throw money at mostly Democrat politicians and they’ll

This piece is proof that there’s no subject an AV Club writer can’t politicize.

There is literally NOBODY bothered by a woman in the lead.  It’s a fake controversy.  I mean, Linda Hamilton.  Kristina Loken.  Even Claire Danes.  This and the black Ariel thing...PR stunts meant to get attention.  Nobody has a problem with these things!  Just stop.

Atrocities committed at all points in time by every government including ours past and present? No big deal. A fictional character

They cast a black Ariel because it appeases the type of people who write the above article, even those they know they are being pandered to.

In this instance I think more people are upset than some other character, because many other characters would just be a change in skin color, which no one cares about. Ariel is

Some certain groups see racism in every perceived slight.

I actually didn’t watch them until a year and a half ago; I like amusingly dated things. My favorite part was the opening sequence of the 3rd video, which I think is pretty much a perfect encapsulation of ‘90s sci-fi:

As someone who was alive when Chernobyl happened, I just want to praise the show for its incredible attention to detail. I don’t think I’ve seen a piece of Western media that captured that kind of lifestyle so well and without either fetishizing of sensationalizing Communism.

Eh? Any TV you buy is going to end up in a land fill. I didn’t say I was going to throw away my TCL when I am done with it. In the past, I’ve given older TVs to friends and family who need them, which I assume I would do here as well.
