This is exactly right. I worked in TV news for 18 years (not as a journalist) and saw those very things. Younger reporters care more about their followers and likes than any real journalistic work.

Right? I also despise drivers who will take an off-ramp (a long one), get ahead a few cars, then suddenly cut back into the right lane. And people let them in! Usually happens when freeway traffic is at a near-standstill. I’ve never seen anyone get busted doing that, but here’s to hoping.
