Thank you for your service (Gulf War vet here).

I seem to recall there were obvious, common toys spray-painted black and grey hanging in little Ani's room in Episode I, these guys will probably pay more attention to detail.

Oh, I don't know...perhaps the fact that he is an ADMIRAL? You do know how far along in his career that rank means, don't you?

Are you a veteran who can actually speak to this?

This was either supposed to be funny, or an admission that you don't expect to accomplish anything in life other than whacking off.

Excellent post. Retro-futurism is incredibly fascinating, it seemed like anything was possible back then. I was born in 1968, but often wonder what it must have been like to grow up in the 50s-60s during that time...duck-and-cover and everything :D

This has to be one of the most epic threads in i09's history! Great replies from everyone, I'd forgotten about some of these terrifying movie moments as I'm sure many of us have. And now, we'll have a few more nightmares again as adults :D

That entire series freaked out an entire generation of us young'uns back then :D Ever seen the Bigfoot episode? NOPE NOPE NOPE

Seriously! That ending blew my 11-year-old mind. And yeah, it was Disney :D

Oh man, that entire scene was indeed frightening. The fact that something was pulling Barry out the doggy door and that we couldn't see what it was...then it/they came straight down the chimney. Great film.

Ack! Same here, had to toss years' worth of 90s issues during a move, but still have some dating from 2000. They were indeed epic in size and quality, what a great period in gaming that was.

I was thinking the same thing, his PC Gamer time was great. Clearly a guy who didn't fall into a routine anywhere for too long, now he's got a pretty sweet SW gig. Pretty cool!

"Muuul-tiii pass."

I had an original 1989 Game Boy as well with quite a few games, but ended up selling it as I needed money at the time. Total mistake. Alas, that was indeed a double-slam for you in 98, ugh.

This is a seriously great article with terrific contributions...especially the IFTTT recipes. Y'all rock!

I demand new techniques to deal with arsonists who are caught starting fires like these. Public lashings (live-streamed!) would be a good start, followed by a lifetime of service in building new homes.

That's awesome!
