Oh, you are adorable. So unwilling to admit the hypocrisy of this president protecting corporations from federal law in the name of environmentalism. LOL. What if so-called "Big Oil" companies were allowed to kill eagles? Would he protect them? No freaking way, because useless green energy companies give him money.

Once again, since you ignored the gist of my post, useless wind farms are protected when it comes to killing eagles. Do you know any "gun toting Americans" who deliberately shoot federally-protected eagles, knowing they'll be prosecuted if caught doing so? Didn't think so. Try another excuse.

That scene freaked me out as a young'un...why hasn't that movie been remade already?!

No worries, man! It's cool to be able to talk about real life. There's a lot of crappy things going on in the world, encouragement is always a good thing.

Ack! My mom also tossed out a bunch of stuff when I went away for college, claiming that she needed to reclaim space to turn my old room into an office. Pfft! My Revell and AMT Trek models were also purged. Fortunately, I managed to stash my Starlogs and Fangorias in boxes to keep most of them safe. I also had one

And, yet, the killing of these beautiful creatures by wind farms is protected by the government in the name of so-called "green" energy.

This is a must-see for those who grew up with both strips during the 80s, they're STILL funny today.

It would be extremely hard to part with mine, but I'm in the same position as you were in. Did you at least get a decent price for them?

Yet another informative entry in this series, thanks! That Scansnap sounds pretty great, especially the duplex scanning capability. Mr. Rubin definitely has a good handle on effective data organization.

Oh man. I remember seeing a sign for The Other Side of Midnight while standing in a massive line in Tucson to see Star Wars for the second time back in 77, and wondering just what the heck THAT movie was about and why it even mattered since Star Wars ruled everything :D

I have a massive collection of original Starlog issues going back to #2, and would like to pass them on to someone who will give them a good home. Wonder how much they are worth...?

I had the Atari 800XL, haha. Was the magazine Atari Age? There was also Family Computing, Byte, and Popular Computing back then. Electronic Games was also always a must-have.

Agreed! The stuff we have now was only in our dreams back then. I've kept my old Starlog issues for decades now, what a time to grow up that was.

Future was awesome! I still have many of the original issues of both magazines, sometimes you can find them in used book stores.

This explains why my cat sits there and waits for me to finish Q-tipping my ears after a shower. She loves playing with it, I thought it was just one of those weird cat behaviors :)

The Fail Army channel on YouTube will never let you down if you need cheering up!

Have to agree, she's still a beauty after all these years, and a character in the shows and movies in her own right. Seeing her burn up in ST:III was tough!

I had it as well, quite an awesome model. You're right, they were re-issued and I found one at a local hobby shop for something like 39.99. Seemed a bit steep...but what a cool kit to build as a kid.

Seriously! LOVED that show as a kid, the ship design was a natural progression of the Apollo era and it was cool how interchangeable the components were. I had some die-cast metal Eagle ships that had different cargo modules, anyone else remember those?

All of your points are spot-on, for ANY topic whether one disagrees with the subject's premise or not. The need for "tolerance" is pounded into our heads in every medium every single day, yet the detractors here have none. Really does conjure up Nazi-like comparisons.
