Thank you for sharing that!
Great article! I experienced anxiety BIG time as a lowly Airman First Class in in the Air Force 20 years ago, had to brief incoming base personnel about computer safety and security practices. Stood there in front of majors, colonels, and so forth and had to be authoritative about what I was telling them. I can't…
I was, too! Although...I was only a year old and don't remember it >.< There's a picture of me sitting in front of the TV watching the whole thing though :D
The narration of this is gold.
Agree with everything, well said. Connecting to CompuServe and other users the first time and other such experiences were indeed like magic!
Oh man, same here! Took me 8 months or so to beat Ultima III back in 83 on my Atari 800XL, it felt like a BIG accomplishment :) Remember how they included cloth maps and metal trinkets?
Seconded! Great article.
Great article! My brother spotted one (he thinks) flying over northern Arizona in the late 80s one night, said he saw a large, triangular-shaped object moving silently across the sky and blotting out stars. A test flight from Nevada, perhaps? Freaked him out, haha.
I will check that out...do you know if it can be done for a specific person, like the ifttt recipe does?
I've been using MB Notifications for a year or so now instead of Facebook's, worth a look!
Same here, haha. I was a #dalnet guy for years.
Agreed! I've learned a lot of new life hacks through these interviews.
That was great! Refreshing to see people actually helping and being nice to each other, seems like that doesn't happen enough today.
Epic thread, I'm new to Tasker and will be trying some of these out. That last one...RESPECT :)
Going to try this, it could fill a badly-needed niche. Thanks, Thorin!
Thanks for the tip!
Almost the same situation here. Mid-40s, was at one job almost 18 years and laid off of another one after 2 years when the company shut down. Seems like we're the last of the long-term job breed!
Oh, man. The first computer game I ever bought was "Ultima III" for my Atari 800XL, it took me 8 months to beat the thing. Spent countless hours playing the sequels after that as well. Lord British is the man!
Terrific tips, much appreciated! Having to update mine after 18 years, and things sure are different now.
