And what’s more, Jimmy is even so creepy to have made his encouragement of Kim’s bad side into a bit of a sex thing. Remember when she was doing an impression of her boss at Mesa Verde, and Jimmy then asked her if she wanted to take a shower with him? So yeah. There’s that, too. Jimmy ain’t innocent in all of this by

Agree, and I also think that at the end of the day, she knows Jimmy is a shady character in and out, but that she hitched her wagon to him, so when anyone calls her on it she has to ruin them because she doesn’t like this mirror being held up to her terrible choice to stick with Jimmy.

This isn’t taking the law into her own hands, though. It’s not vigilantism for a noble cause. She’s just being a dick because she feels she was insulted. I think you’re right that really she’s just a manipulator who pretended to do it for good, just like Dexter was just a killer who pretended (sort of) to be doing

As far as that flashback to Kim’s childhood, I think the real message there is 1)Kim’s resoluteness to do things her own way and 2)Coming from a broken home like that may explain her self-destructive side and attraction to the thrill of Jimmy/Saul.

I don’t think Howard is a bad dude, either. He has interesting (read: tacky) choices in suit shirts and is naive, as someone else has mentioned, yes. But cruel and deserving of a ruined career, no.

and he’s tried to buy his way out of a predicament several times with paltry sums (including the buyout for Chuck earlier in the show as well as the $5,000 go-away money he offered to Jimmy after Chuck died).

I don't think he's a bad dude. Saul is a worst person then Howard. I didn't see season 4 since I didn't have cable then so I don't know Howard was a prick during that season.

So she quits a law firm where she probably could pull down $400-500K per year because she prefers to ‘do good’, but now she becomes greedy?

That’s just rationalizing bad writing. Which is a shame in an otherwise outstanding season. They didn’t need this, and now we’ve taken a main character who we loved and respected and turned her into a small vengeful person. Nothing Howard said or did justifies this and candidly if this were all about money she easily

I totally agree. I find it weird when people on here seem to buy into Jimmy and Kim’s bullshit rationalizations that Howard somehow even semi-deserves what’s coming to him. Initially Howard was kind of taking the fall so Jimmy didn’t have to know that his own brother was the one screwing him over from behind the

Of course she never really liked the guy but specifically deciding to destroy him professionally (when his profession is everything to him) is a big leap from that

Exactly, and besides, Howard will get a lot more than the cut that Jimmy and Kim will from a Sandpiper settlement.

It still felt abrupt to me. At the beginning of the season Kim was extremely angry at the idea of lying to one of her criminal defense clients for the client’s own good. And now she jumps to this! She’s already implicitly accepted money from a Mexican drug cartel and accepted money being in bed with them and now she

The overused incompetent hit squad trope is lazy writing.

How exactly does one do nothing but pro-bono cases? What are you supposed to pay the bills with?... it's not like two million dollars would last the rest of their lives...

I’ve always been a Howard fan. Is he dickish? Sure. Bad intentioned- never. He saw Kim come up through his ranks and always cared for her. His cruelty is based on his high expectations of her. He doesn’t deserve what they are cooking up. Its going to be hard to watch next season as Jimmy the corrupter stands by as Kim

It is odd how Howard has become the “bad guy” for Kim and Jimmy for some reason. I mean, yeah, he’s been a pampered elite and all that, but he’s done nothing to warrant ending his career as a lawyer (and possibly ending HHM).

Have to agree. I love Kim, but this is not right. Howard, naively so, was trying to help her. Yes, as a woman, it is irritating AF to have a man tell you what he thinks you should do, but ruining him? Where has all the worry about the SandPiper people been up until now?  Is Kim going to out Jimmy Jimmy next season? He

Pfft. That wants it to help people the same way Walter White did it “for his family”. It’s a lie she tells herself.

It was a great touch for Nacho to try to convince the assassins to spare the non-muscle people like the old lady. You could tell he was thinking of his father.
