Also agreed. I really liked Vicky Christina. For me he was always hit or miss, even in the 80s. Bullets Over Broadway and Interiors are my favorites, but I personally could do without Annie Hall. Maybe that’s just me. I generally don’t like the films that feature him as an actor.

Yeah when I read “there are people in the world who think everything revolves around them” I was like, THE LETTER WRITER. Not poor Emily, who only after years of eating at places she didn’t like dared to ask her friends to go someplace she liked.

Totally. Team Emily here. I’m not a picky eater, but if all my friends wouldn’t even CONSIDER going to a restaurant of my choice, they wouldn’t be my friends. 

Right? The first season was kind of a mess. But I like Ellen Page a lot, and the rest of the cast is decent. Lots of unexplored potential. 

Other than the gospels, there is scant evidence that Jesus even existed. Even if he did exist, we can agree the rest is greatly exaggerated, if not completely fictionalized.

So true about Solondz. I’d add Neil LaButte to that list. The ultimate scold. His characters exist only to illustrate just how awful he thinks people are. They’re never fully developed characters, just “types”.
