And...

Boy, these EV ads just write themselves...

Cool. So what’s the timing on a Type R Sport Line for North America?

I’m glad that it exists. But the mission profile is pretty specific. I could buy a cheap aluminum trailer to hitch to the back of my wagon for when I need to move oversized or gross things I don’t want in the back. And depreciation bites less on a trailer versus a car.

Good on Hyundai for rolling the dice though. Too

Not necessarily a dealer but at the Mazda booth at the Toronto Auto Show a few years back one of the floor walkers explained to me how awesome the diesel engines in the new Miatas were. I played along and kept him going for a good few minutes, inserting and repeating “diesel” as often as I could to give him an

I’m keeping my Mazdaspeed Miata until death separates us.

I am however considering now whether to go EV with a used Bolt, or keep on the ICE bandwagon for a few more years with a used GTI. Most of my driving is short distances in an urban setting with the Miata for out-of-town hijinks so instantaneous torque and easy

I bought a Magnum R/T six years ago from a chain smoker for super cheap. It was a ludicrous car for a single guy to drive in downtown Toronto but it was also hilarious. Sold it a year later for more than I paid for it. This brought back memories!

Or buy a two-year old versions of either for 60% of the price you’d pay new with warranty remaining.

There was one called “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Anti-slip Machiney”

I like Mat Watson’s stuff. I’ve been watching a lot of his 996 videos to see what issues you can expect when buying an older Porsche. Very informative. And he seems like a good guy to boot.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve watched every episode of every Star Trek series save for a few from the TOS animated series, so it’s safe to say I’ve seen some pretty questionable plot decisions over the years. But last night was the first time I’ve shouted “oh, f*ck off!!” at the TV when Star Trek was on. First Officer

This has been your daily reminder that Jalopnik doesn’t like Tesla. Tune in tomorrow for another exciting edition!

Pull the plugs and send a borescope down the cylinders. Should be included with any decent pre-purchase inspection from a Porsche specialist. Lots of details about that on YouTube and the forums.

I’d likely go C2S. Not opposed to a 997.1 as long as I have proof of IMS/RMS work and no evidence of bore scoring. With the 997.2 you avoid all those potential issues with a bump in power. I guess the question is whether or not $20k is worth peace of mind. The prospect of an engine rebuild gives me tension in the

It’s probably the time of year but it’s slim pickins for a 996 or 997 in Ontario. Ideally if I were gonna take the jump I’d like a 997.2 and given they’re hovering around CAD$60-80k depending on spec, they’re still a bit spicy for me. I have a mental block for spending more than $50k on a car. I can afford to, I’m

Hey, at least you can say you still own a McLaren!

I live in Canada and still can’t afford a supercar. Y’know, I’m beginning to think I never will...

The sticker in the bottom right starts with a nine so he did renew sometime in the 90s. In Ontario, the sticker needs to go into the top right of the rear plate on all passenger vehicles so the bottom right sticker was technically invalid. Not that you’d get a fine for that I’d hope.

They offering dual injection yet? Or are we still walnut-blasting the valves five years down the road?
