You really should give the DLCs a go! The fights in them are AMAZING, particularly in The Ringde City.
You’ve kinda missed to mention one of the absolute best CCGs heading for the switch - Eternal.
His point about people equating unlikable characters with bad game is valid though. A lot of peopole seem incapable of looking at a story as just a story, without relating to the characters within it and having their opinion of the characters influence their opinion of the story.. Whether that’s relevant whatsoever to…
Define “didn’t finish”. That can mean a lot of things in the context of that game, as it revolves around playing through the same sequence multiple times from different perspectives.
I mean...it was a public vote. People are gonna have recent experiences closer at hand when thinking about what games were good. Plus, I wager their readership skews towards a younger audience that may not have experienced many of the older games.
Another fairly cool thing is that in the second phase, when the centipede takes over, it is effectively puppeteering the corpse of the ape. You can see this in it’s movements - it moves as if hanging on a number of threads. Puppeteering is strongly tied to the centipedes “style” of immortality, and it is why you gain…
It really is phenomenal! Picked it up on a whim, and ended up adoring it. I really enjoy all games by Shu Takemi, but I really think that Ghost Trick is his opus.
While I did not go down this path, I will admit that my second playthrough, now that I have gitted gud and learned enough about the game to know what awaits me, is a LOT more fun. One Punch Man S2 was also just announced for Crunchyroll, starting today in europe!
Where’s High Score Girl? Been LOVING that series, and was psyched to see new episodes the other day.
TWEWY oozes style and angst, which meant that teenage me adored it. I loved it on the DS for the same reasons you did: amazing music and innovative gameplay.
I sort of feel like he has a point though. Did it really contribute to your reporting to mention specific names?
You went far past the no-go zone with that one, friend.
Pretty sure Fall Out Boy has that album title copyrighted.
I disagree with basically everything you just said, but I’m going to focus on one particular section:
The problem with this line of thought is that while it is correct, it is also something that we are powerless to stop as individuals. I believe it is largely the result of living in a time-period where the systems of the world are starting to partially transition from a nationalistic framework to a globalistic one.…
I’m pretty sure I saw Harmony of Despair on Playstation Now.
I mean...Sony literally already offers this service in the form of Playstation Now, and it works great. I could play Bloodborne on my laptop without any problems whatsoever, with a perfectly acceptable delay (sub-100ms).
