I mean, Star Wars “canon” has always been an “in the moment” sort of thing. Hell, “Dune Canon,” makes slightly more sense (i.e. the introduction of books as an obvious cash-grab by Brian Herbert which undid a lot of what the Duniverse already was at that point!). Star Wars “canon” did not stay focused from Star Wars

To those complaining about pacing - NONE OF YOU are Dark Shadows fans, I presume. I am fine with the pacing. This obviously is not a one-season story arc. Chill the fuck out.

Too many incels were riding their high horse crying “see, he was innocent, he should get his job back,” To the rest of us, it was pretty clear that there was another shoe about to drop.

The one on the right looks like Michael McKean...

My story is that he became the wraith Xerxes in our galaxy in What we Do in the Shadows. It did not end well for him either!

“Sure, people say the Empire was bad and all, but they at least figured out how to treat light-saber impaling...which was odd because didn’t they kill all the Jedi. Anyway, the shuttles ran on time!”

Having played Battlefront,  I was thinking “it’s just like an autoturret. Use your second light saber in a boomerang throw to take it out!”

TBH, a lot of us get dour with age...

The show has lots of obvious narrative issues that are really starting to plague every Disney+ Star Wars show except for Andor.

It may be illegal in Texas...

My favorite light saber battle is in TPM - the first one between Qui Gonn and Darth Maul. Maul gives no speech or anything - he jumps off of his speeder and gets to work, no conversation. More of them should be like that.

Then I was fat and unemployed...

(and even tried back in 1981 and 1982 with the Caesars Palace Grand Prix, which was admittedly a bit of a disaster.)

Your initial point is, of course, the basic issue. There has never been a consistent canon.

I mean, he named the Imperial soldiers “Stormtroopers.” That is pretty much on the nose from the beginning.

For years I had convinced myself that ST was satire - I mean, all of the capital ships are named after military disasters. And after 1945, who could seriously be proposing such a society. Alas, the more I read from interviews and his other writings, the less I could maintain that fiction. And yet, in a weird way, it

You make some good points. Unfortunately for all of us at this point in the 21st century, the US and Russia are just the tip of the iceberg. I do not know if future historians will refer to this current era as neo-fascism or hyper-nationalism, but look around. China, India, Hungary, Myanmar, and Belarus are all lead

Warhammer is like the Onion or the Colbert Report. Way too many people missed the parody.

Keeping with the Brooks vibe - Niles awkward forced marriage to the plastic surgeon in Frasier was a MUCH funnier arc.
